Last Friday was the Hindu traditional festival of colors. Kevin talked me into go and so we left provo about an hour late. We were almost there and than we ran into heavy traffic. Little did we know that that traffic was for the event. After taking the wrong exit and about 45 to drive about 6 blocks we finally parked. It took us another 30 mins to just walk to the place...and the place..well it was this huge traditional hindu temple in the middle of nowhere. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. It didn't take long for us to be covered in color chalk. How fun of a holiday...you get to run around and throw chalk at everybody. We spent about an hour walking around looking at the temple, talking to a few of the thousands of people there, and getting covered in color. The best part of the night was the fact that the chalk didn't wash out of my hair. It's better now but for a few days I had green hair..how fun! This was seriously one of the best things I have done in college! PS Click on the post title "Holi Festival of Colors" and it will take you to a site with a ton of pictures from the event.
