I officially start my first week as an EFY counselor today! I am so so so excited but also scared out of my mind. I had a huge training meeting yesterday down at the Y, it was really fun to meet so many new counselors, I was able to meet this really cute girl and I think we are going to be EFY buddies all summer! Sadly though, at the training the BC (building coordinators...my bosses!) told us a lot of sad and scary EFY stories so I am a little scared...hopefully it will all turn out all right. I was talking to one counselor who has been a counselor before and he told me to know the scriptures back and front...looks like Sydney has a lot of studying to do today...hee hee! In preparation for this week I have been looking at all my past EFY pictures and my past counselors. It's funny to see how much has changed and yet at the same time how I still look about the same! Anyways I am so excited to start working. I can't wait to meet my girls and just play! I'll post pictures when I get back on Saturday! Wish me luck with a sleepless, rambunctious week!
Hey that's awesome that you start as a counselor for 2008 I was a counselor for the first time last year for EFY 2007 I was preety shy to meet all the other counselors nerve wrecking but the week rocked just have fun with your youth you will do great be a great friend and be the best leader you can be Heavenly father will bless you after when I was done with efy each night I cried when I went home with my parents it made me realize that servin the lord is a blessing and sharing the gospel is great I went to the area programs Ogden Utah North where you go home and come back again and sleep in your own beds from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. same great experience I went to efy in '05 and '06 I loved it have fun and my advice don't be scared it will be great have fun! efy is a blast I still haven't stopped talking about it since I got home about the spiritiual great time I had there EFY RULES!!!
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome that you had the opportunity to be a counselor for EFY 2008 this year I was a counselor last year when I was 19 for EFY 2007 I was looking at the efy pictures from the blog do you know Daniele Paxton? did you go to Bountiful High? anyways email me if you know and send pictures of EFY 2008 I'm sad I don't get to go again this year I had an interview to be a counselor and I didn't make it it's so sad I love efy I'm really going to be missing out well I had an interview for a job at KMart so I may be a really busy and then I have Flaming Gourge in July so that's why I will be busy this summer with work and family vacations but gosh I'm jealous you went this year as a counselor I love efy wahh!.
