today i realized that i've just finished my 7th finals week. considering that i'm such a pro at this college thing i've decided to share my wisdom....
here is what i've learned in my last three year career as a byu college co-ed
- the whole college student eating ramen noodles thing....its a lie, i don't eat the best but i for sure don't eat ramen
- college apartments aren't big enough for a college girls clothing...this is where creativity comes into play. thank you wal-mart organization solutions!
- byu classes are hard and way too much work
- our apartments two drawers of movies....not really needed! who has time to watch a movie?
- i sure didn't take advantage of my freshman year, 100 level classes are awesome, dang me for thinking they were hard.
- going to the library to study with a boy does not count as a library date (my date count just went down)
- cute little boys who come to your apartment and beg you to buy their newspapers...don't do it. i guarantee that your neighbor would have been suckered into their sad stories and you can read their papers!
- when rate my professor says don't buy the text book....don't buy the textbook
- taking 18 credits for my first 4 semesters wasn't the smartest idea
- changing your major isn't as hard as you think it would be
- sometimes the only thing that can make you feel better is some awesome roommates and chocolate cake
- along those lines college roommates are the best. who thought living with 5 girls would be my dream come true!
- study abroads are even greater than you think. one is just not enough ;-)
- study groups are the greatest inventions ever
- staying up all night to write a paper is something that i'm all to familiar with.
- remember when i could get done with my finals in two days, yep those days are gone
- after three years at byu i can admit i somewhat enjoy it ;-)
- being involved in your student ward makes the whole college experience so much better.
- late night ihop runs are so worth the lack of sleep
- surprisingly enough having a job helps me to have more time to study and such...can anybody say time management
- textbooks cost way too much money. paper is not worth that much
- roommate date nights make the best memories
- driving home f or sunday dinner is more than worth it!
- yes a college student needs 20 pairs of shoes. you never know when those pink flats will come in handy
- i've used tools more than i ever expected to in college
- paying bills are not fun
- getting things in the mail with my own name brighten my day
- the college years really are the best of your life!
peace and love from the college pro
