Home Is not so Sweet....

Hawaii Sun...Could you please come visit Provo???

After an amazing week in Hawaii I had to return to the cold and the snow. Can't I have another unofficial spring break next week?

Last week was such a great week for me....It all started Saturday night when I had to drive home to pack all my summer goods. I drove home a little early to avoid an awkward kinda-date and to visit my uncle! After getting home I realized how much I had to go through, it had been a long time since I'd been on a trip. It was fun to pack and spend a little time with the parentals. I went to bed early because our flight was at 5 am! Yep thats right I was up before the sun...I won't bore you with all the details but we finally got there and let me just say....the house was AMAZING! It was so beautiful and so big!
(Not a good picture but this is the view from the front door)

Well we did a ton of things throughout the week so considering such I'm going to do my favorite thing....bullet points! Yay I know you love them!
  • We had a private pool right off the golf course. It was fun to wave to the old guys golfing and see their reactions! Priceless

  • Chillin on the beach for hours! Incredible! Alex fried himself, Megs and Ric swam a lot, Mom chilled in the shade, dad was just daddy! It was so much fun

  • Dinners! Meals were my favorite times. Most of the time we made dinner at the house (I love homemade meals) and we would sit around the table for hours just laughing and telling stories. Being out on my own has made me appreciate my family so much more. They are such a gift to me and I love all the time I have with them. And to top it off I kinda have the best family in the world so it makes family vacations super great!

  • Shopping....though we didn't really find much I always enjoy shopping!
  • Being able to go to bed at 9 just because I feel like it and not having to set an alarm. Funny that I naturally woke up at 6:30ish. I would sit in bed till about 7:30 just to feel good about myself! I caught up on some long needed sleepness!
  • Cuddling with my Mommy and watching Greys, movies, and dancing with the Stars. It was a nice change to watch my shows on their actual times instead of the on internet. I love that my Mom is my best friend!

  • Going for runs in the morning on the beach. My favorite was the first day when my family all randomly went running and ran into each other. My dads comment, "Apparently we are one of those families, you know the family that runs together stays together". I love that I finally fit into my family and have become a runner!
  • Our plane ride around the island....so cool! We even saw red hot Lava!
  • Whale watching....probably one of the coolest things I have ever seen.
  • Playing in the sand....I'll always be a child at heart. I love building sand castles and writing my name in the sand.

  • Taking model pictures with my sister and Mommy!

We really did so much more but those are the highlights! I can't believe I was able to spend a week with my family in Hawaii. It was truly a blessing. Plus I'm super tan now!

If anybody is interested in going to Hawaii let me know...I'll so go again! I'm a Honolua Wahine now!
