Going back to the good stuff...

This past week has been a great one. I have been able to get a lot of things done and figure some other things out! On Saturday I drove into Salt Lake to work with Ric for a few hours. I'm so grateful to him and his willingness to let me come in on a Saturday just to make a few extra dollars for Jeru. Anyways Ric had pandora playing, I'm not sure what station he had on but it was playing all of these awesome older artists such as Queen, Styx, Journey, Eagles etc....It was really fun because a song would come on and it would bring back memories for both of us. Styx reminds us both of boating. We used to go up to pineview all the time with the family and Dad would blast Styx. "Hotel California" came on and it took be back to lazy summer Saturdays when I would live at home dad would be out cleaning the cars. I would love to go out and help him wash (well at least my car!) and he would always sing along to the Eagles. A few Queen songs took me back to one random night when I was playing a Queen song and attempting to dance to it....my Mom and Daddy noticed and came and danced with me. Sitting there at work I realized that my love of music came from my parents....and mostly my Dad! Put on some great oldies and my Dad is in his own happy world, wistling and singing along!

I've started listening to my Styx and Eagles CDs a little more this week! I'm going back to what my Daddy would call the "good stuff"! I love memories!
