my mom and dad used to have a pillow on their bed
it said "happiness is being married to your best friend"

when i was little i thought that was funny
at the time my best friend was a girl
i couldn't imagine my best friend being a boy

this weekend this quote really hit me
i am married to my best friend
and i'm happier than i have ever been

thanks best friend for hanging out with me
for helping fix my car
and my hurt foot
and for cleaning the whole apartment
and for laughing with me
and playing games with me
and watching movies with me
and just being with me
