thanks to my incredible job i was able to head to dc to put on an event
i love being an event planner
along with my other responsibilities at work i seriously have the best job ever
anyway....
i flew in on tuesday
i met up with a couple of others from my company
they took me to dinner at a fun place (great food)
and then they took me exploring
i loved walking around the city at night
the weather was incredible
and the best part...
the circus was in town and was having a parade
a friend from work really wanted to see the elephants
so we ran across town as fast as we could
i was so out of breath at the end but it was so worth it
who doesn't love a circus parade!
the next day i headed to the office
we weren't able to get into the conference room as early as we would have liked so i decided to take a few hours and explore
when i was 12 i went to dc for the first time.
i fell in love with georgetown
so of course i went back
i jumped on a bus
headed west to georgetown
i did a little shopping
ate lunch at a park overlooking the river
explored the neighborhoods
found the store i remember first seeing when i was 12 in dc (abercrombie and fitch, who would have thought)
headed back to our dc office
it was a perfect day!
the next day was busy with our event
it went by so fast but was just as excited as our slc event
so my first business trip was a success
can't wait for more trips to dc soon
and next time i'm there my jbod will be there
can't even wait
i think business trips are my new thing
i loved being able to just explore a new city
it exciting finding my way around
made me feel better about moving to chicago
event planning is going strong
i love all i'm learning!
any event planners out there have any advice...bring it on!
