a little birthday celebration!

so even though the mr. had a big ol' scary test today, and was maybe studying all day on his birthday, we still found time to celebrate. we had some friends over for dinner and dessert to welcome spence into this 27th year. we had a blast eating way too much, playing games, and catching up after everyones summer break.  the mr was spoiled with lots of love. 

my mr has a thing for brownies and ice cream. every year since we've been married i've made this for his birthday dessert. one year i attempted a cake as well but he said he liked the brownies and ice cream better ;-)

of course we had to get a group photo! i personally love the funny picture the best. dan was mid throw of baby linc....too bad our self timing was off. 

i sure love my mr. and i sure love celebrating him. and even more i love celebrating for days. we have big plans for dinner out just the two of us tonight to continue the celebration! 

the birthday celebrations for the mr. // plus a video!

finally getting around to post the mr.'s birthday celebrations. we celebrated for about two weeks. i guess that's what happens when you have school on your birthday and your mom comes to visit a week later. here are just a few pictures (overload) of celebrating the man i call my husband!

spencers favorite dessert....a pazookie. warm half baked cookie, ice cream and hot fudge. yum. of course we had to use our 26 candles and the sparklers.

mine had sprinkles. because i am in love with sprinkles. it makes everything look more fun.

just some simple birthday presents. now that we're on a budget we had to go small. but i had fun getting some small things for my mr.

i didn't get a ton of pictures of us celebrating with spence's mom. we were having too much fun together for pictures.

plus...something new and exciting!!! a video. just a note...i was holding a camera and taking pictures the same time i was doing video. when i put down the camera i was using my other one to take pictures. so thats is why you get the awkward video. i thought it would be more fun to start having videos. ya know so our kids can laugh at us later. as you can see in the video spence didn't think it was cool. oh well!

the mr. is 26 today // happy birthday!

today is husband's birthday. i can't believe my mr. is 26 today! this is now our 3rd year celebrating his birthday together. too bad 4 years ago we had just met (still feel bad i didn't know it was his birthday). even though we are in a new city and living a new life we are celebrating just the same. he got to open a surprise present last night. then he had a special birthday breakfast today with his favorite star wars characters telling him happy birthday. i even got awesome sparkler candles on his toast...yep i'm that kind of wife.

too bad the mr. has class all day and a dinner tonight. but don't worry...we'll still celebrate. our time may be limited but i have plans all weekend! so excited to celebrate the wonderful man i call my husband. so spence...happy birthday hun. so glad you were born!!!!

everyone reading this....send my husband a birthday wish! even though he is has class today (and tomorrow) i want him to feel loved on his birthday.

a celebration!

a few weeks ago my dad had a birthday!

and we decided to celebrate with pizza and bowling

but bowling was too crowed so we ended up playing in the arcade

dinner was a blast

we laughed the whole time

i love being together with my fmaily

we spent way too much on coins

so we could play skee ball, ddr, and some basketball

 loving the hoop machine...i totally rocked at this game (maybe because my machine counted a score every time i hit hoop)

 oh the wonderful men in my life. i love my cute brothers so stinkin much!

 and skee ball...i wasn't as good as i remembered. mr. got a few tickets though!

the mrs. flips

so this is what happens at our family birthday parties.

the sad thing...my little 8 yr old niece totally showed me up when she did a backflip on her own. and after that my dad did a better flip than i did...(i'll maybe post that one later, its a good one!)

oh well, i've been out of the cheerleading/dancing/flipping scene for a long time.
